Watermelon Martini

Wednesday, July 1, 2009

Take out your Martini Glass, pick up a good book, and enjoy a Delicious Martini with a different twist. Make enough for two, when you want to share it with a special friend. Either way, this is a new twist on the use for watermelon.

This recipe serves one:
1. Place all ingredients in a shaker and shake until very well chilled, about 30 seconds.
2. Strain into a chilled martini glass. A properly shaken Martini will have a very thin layer of ice crystals floating on top after it is strained into the glass.

Tips:
Shake the Martini long enough and with enough vigor to get the layer of crystals.

This is habit forming, because it is so refreshing and has a different taste than the usual Martini. This contains alcohol. Be careful, don't drink too much!

Things You'll Need:
* 1 1/2 oz. vodka
* ½ ounce lime juice
* ½ ounce Triple Sec
* 6 frozen watermelon cubes (about ½ inch square each)
* ½ shaker of ice
* ½ ounce Chambord
